Honolulu, HI – The Plumbers and Fitters UA Local 675 today announced its endorsement of Dr. Josh Green for governor of Hawaii.
“Lt. Governor Green is a proven leader who cares about working people,” said Matthew Brady, President of Local 675. “Hawaii’s Plumbers and Fitters are honored to endorse and support him for governor.”
Lt. Governor Green expressed his gratitude for the endorsement.
“I’m very proud to have the support of Local 675,” said Green. “I will do my best every day to live up to their endorsement and fight for working men and women.”
Local 675 Business Manager Val Ceria went on to say that Green’s commitment to Hawaii’s working families are sincere and genuine.
“Josh Green wants our kids and grandkids to be able to survive and raise their own families in Hawaii,” Ceria said, “and he’s serious about it.”
“As governor, I will work every day to make sure that our next generation can afford to stay in Hawaii,” Green said, “with the economic, educational, and job training opportunities they deserve.”
Green also pledged to take action on the issues that matter most to the people of Hawaii, including affordable housing, the high cost of living, and the homeless crisis.
Founded in 1919, the Plumbers & Fitters UA Local 675 received its charter from the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada.
Local 675’s core purpose is to initiate members of the trade and associated branches for mutual assistance, protection and the efficient performance of their respective skills, with a mission of maximizing value to employers by providing qualified and highly skilled craftsmen trained to meet the challenges of fast-paced technological advancements.
