I am deeply humbled and honored to serve as your Lieutenant Governor.
As a local doctor, I’ve spent my life caring for Hawaii families.
I’ve had the privilege of taking care of our moms and dads, our keiki and kupuna– delivering babies, stitching up wounds, or just being there to hold the hand of a sick child or an elderly grandmother in the hospital.
Serving in the State Senate, I worked to pass legislation that strengthens and supports Hawaii families, including universal healthcare for our keiki, guaranteed coverage of treatment for Hawaii’s autistic children, stronger protections for victims of sexual assault, and new programs to reduce maternal mortality.
As a husband and a father of two young children, I have the same hopes and concerns as every parent in Hawaii.
My wife Jaime and I want our kids, Maia and Sam, to grow up in a Hawaii where no family has to live in poverty, and no parent has to choose between buying food or buying medicine for a sick child.
As your Lieutenant Governor, I will work every day to solve the homeless crisis, help those struggling with addiction, and provide healthcare to everyone in Hawaii.
I believe that in Hawaii, we should never turn our backs on anyone, or leave anyone behind.
Together we can move Hawaii forward as one Ohana, and build a better future for all our families.
