Honolulu, HI – The Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters announced their endorsement of Dr. Josh Green for Governor today.
Dr. Green expressed gratitude for the support of HRCC. “Our state is facing a housing crisis right now,” Green said, “and Hawaii’s carpenters, builders, and our entire construction industry are going to be an important part of the solution.”
“The Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters is proud to support Dr. Josh Green for Governor of Hawaii,” said Ron Taketa, HRRC Executive Secretary-Treasurer. “We believe Josh has the right skills, and more importantly the caring heart, to lead Hawaii forward as our next Governor.”
“Josh Green popularized the phrase ‘housing is healthcare,’ and he understands the importance of building more affordable housing for working families across our state,” said Nathaniel Kinney, Political and Education Director for HRCC. “HRCC represents the skilled labor ready to build the quality housing and infrastructure that Hawai’i needs now and in the future.”
The Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters is the state’s largest trade union representing 6,200 carpenters. HRCC equips its members with the skills, training, and preparation needed to deliver quality workmanship that today’s construction industry demands.
