HONOLULU – Hawaii Government Employees Association, the state’s largest union, announced its endorsement of Dr. Josh Green for Governor of Hawaii.
“Josh Green is the right person to lead our state in its recovery from the pandemic, and we look forward to working with him to make Hawaii a place where our middle class will thrive,” said HGEA Executive Director Randy Perreira.
Perreira continues, “Like HGEA’s members, Josh Green spent the last two years on the front lines of the pandemic, providing critical services and care to those in our community who needed it most. Leaders step up in moments of crisis, and Josh proved to be the trusted voice of reason and science-based information for all of us as we struggled through the pandemic. He showed compassionate leadership and earned the public’s trust in a time of constant uncertainty. Now that the state is entering a new phase of the pandemic, we believe Josh Green is a tested leader who is committed to tackling the challenges facing our shrinking middle class.”
